ECLIPSE

So i just woke up from my 3hr nap because Lord knows i needed one! Now the excitement is starting to kick in even more, i think you all know what I am talking about THE MIDNIGHT SCREENING OF ECLIPSE!! some call me crazy and some may call me foolish but who cares, the books and movies are incredible. In my opinion one of the best love stories ever told, even though i'm going to be a zombie at work tomorrow its all for a good reason and i'm sure plenty will agree. Well have go on and get ready, getting some drinks with some lovely ladies before the film starts. I'll be sure to post a review!

So i'm not to sure who "Slim Thug" thought he was putting out a statement like that, but I couldn't agree more with Dr. Hill and his comeback. No matter what anyone says black women we are beautiful, we are strong and can do whatever we put our mind to! If any man is incapable of dealing with this, he simply is not good enough and I don't care what color you are!

Miami memorial weekend

So I literally just came back from my minnie vacation you can say, Miami was most certainly the place to be! During memorial wknd Miami attracts thousands upon thousands of black people for the weekend, but some of the things I witnessed was just plain wrong. Both men and women dressed in the skimpiest clothing and looked like they were in need for some serious attention, its unfortunate that this is the only way black folks will come together in a semi-peaceful way. Anyways I enjoyed myself, being at the beach and hanging with my friends and family. Plus i picked up an awesome tan, this was an experience and I recommend everyone to get down there because the beaches are great, reminded me of the beautiful turquoise water in Haiti!

let me add my two sense!

A friend of mines posted this and lets just say I felt obligated to repost and put my two sense in. Well I hope you all are just as disgusted by this as I was when I seen it, although these kids perceptions may seem backwards to most we can not really blame them. First off, in my own opinion self worth,self pride starts at home (in reference to the black children). Yea people are going to say things about you and your group but you learn at home that what people think doesn't matter. Second, are you really surprised?! We live in a world that values white/light skin, don't believe me than the video speaks for itself, you got little kids who barely know their ABC's identifying white and light as right. I know and hope all of you seen the Malcom-X movie, (Spike Lee Joint) when my brother was reading the dictionary and comparing black and white definitions, no wonder the black children want to be white and the white kids are "smart" and "well behaved" ! let me know what you all think, thats it for me tonight.ciao
